Want to feel a little festive? On Saturday, Dec. 10 it's party time for all the kids and the young at heart, from 10 a.m. to noon the Privateer's holiday parade starts in Bayfront Park, Anna Maria and meanders down through Anna Maria Island to Coquina Beach. Kids can visit with Santa and islanders are providing refreshments at Coquina Beach.

After the parade swing by the Anna Maria Island Art League's "Winterfest" craft festival to pick up some stocking stuffers or grab some tickets for the Sarasota POPS Orchestra "Chanukah and Christmas Concert" with the Bradenton Ballet Repertory and the Rowlett Elementary Choral Groups at Neel Performing Arts Center in nearby mainland Bradenton.

Finish up your day by watching The Islander Lighted Boat Parade beginning at 5:30 in the evening from Bimini Bay on the bay side of the island with judging at the Anna Maria City Pier. What a show!
